Andrew Janson, President, Hanson Logistics, announced today that Ryan Smith has joined the company in the newly created position of Director of Human Resources.
Ryan brings more than 15 years of human resources related experience to Hanson Logistics having worked for Whirlpool Corporation for the last 16 years. With additional expertise in “integrated supply chain” activities, Ryan worked at Whirlpool Corporations world headquarters, as well as the company’s Clyde, Ohio plant, providing day-to-day and strategic human resource support for a 500 employee, multi-site business unit.
Ryan brings a proven track record of focus on company culture along with improving Teammate engagement and developing continuous improvement strategies. Ryan is a 1999 graduate of Grand Valley State University, and has a MBA from Western Michigan University with a focus in Human Resources Management.
As part of Ryan’s overall responsibilities, Ryan will also be supporting sister company Hanson Mold, St. Joseph, Michigan.
Ryan, wife Traci, daughters Ellie (12), Lanie (10) and son Henry (8) reside in St. Joseph Michigan.
