We have a great partnership with Hanson, one that goes back many years. Our relationship began as strictly cold storage, and now we’re also utilizing Hanson’s transportation capabilities for outbound loads. We’re hoping to grow that end of the business. The service and communication is excellent.

Infor SCE 10 Improves Visibility, Inventory Control and Order Accuracy

Hanson’s Infor Supply Chain Execution solution integrates warehouse management, ordering, and other processes for a more unified approach to managing complex inventory. This solution takes advantage of Infor ION, a new generation of business middleware that puts better information into the hands of users, faster. By moving real time information to the right people, Hanson delivers greater customer value in both consolidation and storage programs.

As a Hanson customer, you have visibility into order status using an interactive web portal. You can directly  manage your own inventory with better visibility into warehouse levels. Infor Supply Chain Execution allows users to optimize the distribution process through greater detail in inventory analysis and management, reducing inventory levels where possible. At the same time, Infor SCE 10 gives Hanson more control over value-added services such as kitting, consolidation and support for sales promotions.

Finally, Infor10 SCE enables greater product traceability, proactively meeting the increasingly stringent USDA and FDA tracking regulations. Hanson’s investment in this technology, together with the company's process alignment to the Global Food Safety Initiative and BRC Compliance, assures our customers and our customer's customer that transparency, efficiency and food safety are priorities throughout the Hanson organization.

Chicago Aerial

Thinking Chicago market? Ask yourself:

  • Do I really want an Illinois-based distribution partner that’s trying to find a way to pay for higher taxes, likely by raising rates for its services? Or, would I rather have an Indiana-based distribution partner in a state with lower business taxes, lower cost of living, and a more cost-effective labor force?
  • Am I comfortable with congestion that can increase travel times by 60 percent during peak morning periods and often requires doubling travel time for one-time arrival? Or, is the idea of less traffic stress and easy access to Chicago, other Midwest markets, and the East Coast more appealing?
